Job Title Station Manager

Job Role Ensures that the station is up and running by putting in place every mechanism that is needed for the station to function effectively and optimally ranging from products to attendants and the general state of the station in terms of convenience and accessibility.


Functions & Responsibilities

* Ensures the station is up and running by putting in place every mechanism needed ranging from product to attendants and every other relevant equipment that will enable the station to function optimally.

  • * Supervises and maintains all stations equipment to eradicate damage and theft.

  • * Supervisees the day to day activities in the station and ensures everything is in order.

* Ensures money generated from sales is taken to be bank at the appropriate time for safe keeping.

* Ensures adequate and proper accounting is made for all products in the station on a daily basis in the sales record book.

* Creates schedule for employee in order to monitor and take attendance on a daily basis.

* Takes full responsibility of the NFR and ensures it generates income for the organization

* Engages in marketing alongside other staffs of the station to boost sales at the station and increase revenue for the organization.

* Training of new employees most especially pump attendants.

* Ensures pump attendants and other employees are neatly dressed and polite to customers.

* Ensures the station always has product to sell and calls the attention of the Manager Retail & Specialty when stock is low to avoid stock out.

  • * Takes daily stock level record and sends it to the Manager Retail & Specialty for proper report
  • * Reports all activities and challenges to the Retail executive for proper intervention and solution.

* Creates a good relationship with clients and customers to ensure their loyalty to the organization

* Interacts and creates a good relationship with vendors delivering products in order to get credit facility where and when necessary.

* Ensures the station is always neat and accessible for customers to buy products at ease.

* Gives detailed report on the activities of competitors within the locality and advises on plans to be embarked upon to be ahead of competitors to the Retail Executive.

* Performs other functions as assigned by the Manager Retail & Specialty.


Key Performance Indicators

  • % increase in the sale of PMS, AGO DPK and LPG in the station.

Increase in customer base as a result of effective and efficient marketing.

  • % increase in NFR activities in the station.
  • Client/Customer Satisfaction.

Interpersonal relationship achieved as reflected by feedback from internal/external stakeholders

Accurate sales record and stock taking report

% of proactive measures taken that mitigate crisis in the station most especially with customers and attendants.

  • Prompt and timely delivery of station report and activities to the Retail Executive.

Adherence to company/departmental processes, procedures and policies.

Neatness of the station and attendants.

Attendants and employees discipline and attitude to work.

Minimum Experience

A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in Station Management.
